I'm not confusing anything. Are you suggesting that AMD has separate categories for shipments versus sales?
If AMD "ships" 30 million processors this year, and that is a 40% increase over their 2000 "shipments", that would imply that AMD "shipped" 21.4 million processors in 2000 - yet AMD publicly claimed that they "sold" 26.4 million.

Please tell me how AMD can sell more processors than they ship - OK?
Your immediate jump to obfuscate the issue - by tossing out "ship" versus "sold" quantities is rather intriguing - especially when faced with an obvious discrepancy in the "truth".
