Robert, the guy I am referring to is Andrew Vance of the Stock Swap thread who is an avid day trader in the semis. He and I have been telling people over there since January to accumulate shares of ALYD for just such a run. We estimate that the profits made in ALYD on just that thread alone could be around 500K (although much of it may be still on paper).

Andrew, conservative as he is, normally would have sold some at 15 and bought back, but he was on a camping trip that week. Just in case, he always gives "crazy" sell instructions to his broker. He set ALYD (then trading at 11ish) at 22.5. The broker sold almost the entire position and then used the profits to buy back at 18 7/8!

Meanwhile, I was at a business conference in Orlando and, fearful that ALYD might announce a contract every other day (sometimes it hurts to know too much [gg]), I just told my broker to get me the best price... which just happened to be 22.5, of course. Granted I didn't buy a whole lot, but I figured I could make in a week what would take a year if that money were in a savings account.

I hope when ALYD doubles again I can tell a similar good story about you!

- Jeff
