Merry Christmas...Happy holidays........
So it's Christmas eve and I get another mailer from this Nick Guarano guy. The guy from the wall street underground. So I've been getting these mailers every few months for the past 2 years. I read them and throw them away. Tonight he says we're in a Depression. A big wipe out coming March, April, May of next year. He is the third adviser that has used the D word this week. Hmmmm? I don't think I'll throw this one out. See while I was calling him crazy..he was calling it right. He has been more than accurate, months ahead, forecasting the tech wreck..the corp. bankruptcy's..enron..ressesion and all five 1000+ point drops in the past few months. He was even warning about terrorist attacks before the 11th of Sept. I thought he was full of bull pucky.. I believe him now. It "is" going to happen again. There is no recovery in site. The one smart thing I did was not lose half of my portfolio. His first three mailers scared the bejimmy's out of me..so I bailed. To me the issue isn't the death of Silicon Investor..it's the wipe out of the small American investor. The fact that trillions of dollars have been pumped and dumped..and sucked out of the economy..millions of folks nest eggs have been wiped out..and the media continues to "prosperity's just around the corner" us ..the fed is desperate..hundreds of large corporations are cooking the books, meaning the massive layoffs are far from over..the enormous bankruptcies and all that will bring are looming..and many of us are still itching to find some action? My brother in law..a hard working guy..lost about $450.000 this year..it took him 47 years of hard work to invest in America. Well by the time the dust settles I'd hate to bet on what will be left in his 401K. My neighbors lost over half of their portfolio along with Lord knows how many other families...and the pump and dump boys are hard at work again trying to suck us back in. Well like I said..I'm not throwing his advise away this time. And I'm not going to wait for $50.00 a barrel oil or some terrorist to get the idea that a couple blown up tankers blocking the straits of Hormuz [or how ever you spell it] could spell disaster for us, before I get hip. What's my point. Well, WATCH YOUR MONEY. Things are worse than the media is letting on. Look, I'm really not enjoying this either .Bad news is seldom welcome...you know shoot the messenger. But file this one away..and keep your wallet in your pocket..batten down the hatches..it's going to be a bumpy ride. For those of you who may think I'm recomending Nicks service..HELL NO..SAVE YOUR MONEY..I just wouldn't worry too much about how were all going to get together and chat about how awful things are.
Save Yourself not the Silicon Investor...
This could be that BIG ONE! I hope not!
Good luck to all of us next year...and God Bless America..
Mike
ps I could be one of the few who can manage to spell bankruptsieze's 3 ways.
