quick question to the thread.

i gave some advice to my brother in law tonight... i would just like to check with anyone here that may know for sure.

He suddenly realized during our chat after xmas dinner that he forgot to sell NT-T last week for tax reasons (he was truly a lucky investor in such a miserable year)... and was upset given the passed 3 day settlement deadline.

i mentioned to him that i believe he should be able to sell his shares on NYSE instead of the TSE... and that it is a 1 day settlement and applicable.

Am i completely off base on this or am i right? I have never actually missed the date and have not had to deal with such matters.

thanks.
martin
