This is a strange Christmas. It is after 7:00 a.m. and I am the first one up, making coffee. This is the one and only year we will have 4 teenagers in the house 13-19. It has come to this. I am up waiting on them, and it's morning and they have been safely in bed for hours. At midnight they were 45 minutes into Shrek. My wife took her mother to a midnight candle light service. I was the first in bed. Sitting here thinking in the silence I already miss these times. They will soon be changing and Christmas will start to be about other things. It goes on and on, watching the river run. Happy and safe holidays. I look forward to stories about the season.
