I wound up buying my laptop at Best Buy which had mostly AMD based laptops for _far_ less than CompUSA. Indeed, the cheapest laptop at CompUSA that fulfilled my requirements cost $1399.00. The cheapest at Best Buy that did everything I wanted cost $749! Of course, the laptop is Duron based and is extremely fast. I'm delighted with it. Mike
