"Hold on a few years, better times a' coming. Meanwhile, there's plenty of good comic material coming out of the white house, Congress, and right wing reactionary kooks to keep us amused." The Religious Right tried to take over Washington State. They failed. I never thought they would get into the White House. Was I ever wrong. Last year when Bush was inaugurated we were seriously depressed because along with many other people that we knew, we were worried about the erosion of civil liberties. And that is exactly what has happened even though no one would have considered the Taliban a serious threat to the US at the time. I'm very worried about the situation in India and Pakistan. Former President Clinton called the area the most dangerous place in the world. A few months back, Scientific American , published an article that claimed that the most probable place where a nuclear war would occur would be between India and Pakistan.
