OT: A suicidal terrorist recently appeared with 1/3 pound of C4 explosive in his shoes and was caught in-flight trying to set fire to his shoes ablaze with matches. Several news sources are now reporting that as many as half of all air travelers are being required to remove their shoes and place them into the scanners before they are allowed to enter the boarding area.

This may be well and good except the next suicidal terrorist might be caught attempting to set fire to his underwear while retaining a similarly small charge of C4 in his rectum. Considering how airline security responded to the last threat, in the future air transportation could become ... exceedingly unpleasant.
