To anyone retiring in 25 years: At the height of one of many deflationary recessions that could plague America as long as they let demagogues continue to profess the virtues of a "surplus to be saved for Social Security", what are the chances of that future Congress being the least bit sympathetic about your Social Security welfare handout? The current generation of retired seniors was bamboozled into accepting the Social Security fraud. Thus there is considerable sympathy for them. The Boomers know (and always have known) it's a fraud. Even many of us among them take the attitude that they can stew in their own juice. What do you think the 'X' and 'Y' generation folks, dominating Congress in 20-25 years will be thinking?
