Ten, I see the same theme over and over again: Wait 'til Hammer. Even AnandTech in their usual praise of the latest Athlon MP platform (760MPX) is starting to echo this theme. It should be obvious why. Sounds something like the "wait 'til next year" mantra the Dodgers used for years until they finally won a world series over the Yankees. After that, it went right back to the Yankees as the dominant team in baseball. WRT tapeout of Hammer, I wonder what is going on. Is it: 1. Not complete, or 2. Complete, but with zero hoopla because AMD wants to do a stealth thing and surprise some people. Used to be that whenever AMD completed something major, they'd throw a big tent party and you could hear the band for miles around 1 AMD place. Haven't heard anything loud from that direction lately except for the closing fireworks at Great America. Tony
