You both need to grow up. This is international politics not tiddlywinks.... You're not paying attention. You are in hall-of-shame mode. This is not about being nice, it's about being smart. It is smarter to encourage Canada to come around to an understanding of what is in its and our mutual interest. They're not stupid. They'll figure it out and also figure out a way to integrate it with their other cultural factors so that the implementation is effective. There's no need to beat them over the head, piss them off, and have them implement our directive half heartedly. It's called enlightened, long-term self interest.
