Haim, thanks for your take. I think the Israeli's who criticized Sharon's banning of the Bethlehem move failed to ask themselves 'what would Arafat do and say in Bethlehem, and where would he go next?'

As to Shimon Peres I would like to see him disappear as quickly as possible he is very very selfish man trying to undermine every Prime Minister in his effort to steal the spotlight ........besides that he is a plain arrogant idiot and that IMHO Mubarak loves him as they are the same.

I agree but obviously Sharon feels he has to hang onto him; I don't know why -- could it be that Peres is in good odor with Colin Powell & the US State Dept?

The Pakistan- India almost war situation helps Israel in a strange way IMHO.

Well, it keeps Israell off the top headlines. Also having India threaten war in response to Muslim terrorism makes Israel seem less isolated.
