| This is true. I have many co-workers who are from India. Many of our brightest stars were educated in the U.S. What I've found in the IT industry, generally speaking, you get a much better foundations in CS theory in the U.S. Whereas, in India, they focus more on learning skills that will get you a job, with less foundational classes. There are exceptions to this rule, of course, but the general rule holds true. I'll tell you this, though. If it weren't for our foreign friends here on H-1 visas, the tech industry would have be seriously understaffed for a long while. I guess now, we don't have that problem though. :) |
