Am looking for a replacement for tradestation to do backtesting. I need to do intraday testing but I do not need to do it live. Can you use the standard metastock to do testing on say a 15 min chart or does it only work on daily charts? If it does work then what would the best data source to download tic data afterhours be and cost? About the testing abilities, can you write test that will exit at a stop placed at a moving average for example and have the system actually exit at that point or will it only enter and exit at the open or close of the bar that crosses the moving average? (or like tradstation, someplace on the next bar) Will metastock optimize. Can you set a test up to run through a set of variables? Has anybody used the new Metastock/Qcharts live deal with any luck. Again, I do not need to use it live actually but would like the easy, fast access to the huge qcharts data base. Thanks boots
