Yeah, you are right....no lives have been lost in history over sand, dirt or just plain old earth. You want to tell me why the Israelis occupy that southern portion of beachfront in Gaza? Seems like it is not a safe place for them to be without military protection which in turn would probably PO most normal people of an occupied area of sand.
