Hi Jay,

how much money are the Japanese Banks "borrowing" at zero interest, only to be reinvested in JGBs or USTRY or similar intruments? Is this a common practice? If yes, are Japanese banks depending on this subsidy to keep afloat? If the Japanese government ever find the backbone to start closing these banks, who there be a shocking disclosure of where this money is parked?
