So if a stock has 2 million shares in the float & the MM's are SHORT 6 million shares then watch out because blood will be on the streets

Any mmkrs that have found themselves in such a position deserve to be squeezed.

But generally companies are more than willing to provide them the necessary shares to make a market.

After all, why be involved if they are losing their heinies.

But you're right over all, the end of the year is generally the best time to pick up a position in your favorite BB stock.
