We know Ashcroft is a gun fanatic. I wonder if he is a big fan of land mines. The press should send Ashcroft and Bush clips of kids getting blown up by land mines in Afghanistan!!!! I saw a few days ago that Powell was contacting India and Pakistan to get them to show restraint. The issue was that a war between India and Pakistan might break up the coalition against terrorism. No matter that India and Pakistan might exchange nukes. You think that Bush would care about foreign children and land mines? It's bee a little over 100 days since Sept 11th [100 is a nice number to multiply by]. We lost 3,000 people roughly in the attacks on Sept 11th. Sub-Sahara Africa has lost 5,500 people per day to AIDS, or 550,000 deaths. The US still wants to protect the patents for phramaceutical companies. You think that Bush would care about foreign children and land mines? jttmab
