John, I got a 4300 for my daughter for Christmas. Spent two hours on the phone Christmas morning with a technician. After I happened to set the phone down next to the computer, he asked what that clicking sound was. I again said that I have never heard a hard drive make that kind of sound. He agreed that I have a faulty hard drive and is to send a replacement. I find it hard to understand how Dell could ship computers out that do not work? Obviously they have little to no quality control. Now I can not get them to confirm when it will be fixed. So not only loosing money on their stock, I am also taking on the chin over their products. Maybe there is a Dell rep out there monitoring these boards that could give me a little encouragement. My emails to Dell have been futile.
