Ben, I kind of like the working class ambience. Why have a fancy home if you can't lord it over everyone around you? Of course, I'm from the San Francisco area originally and what passes for a million dollar home there is called a cozy fixer-upper at low six figures in Houston. But I know that Seattle is kind of pricey, too.

Building homes "on spec" has never been the best investment in the building trades. <g>
