fyodor - you wrote Yes, AMD did claim this at one point… before the economy went into Da Dumpster. If you could find a recent claim of this, I would appreciate a link.

Here's a link - and it is a post to you, fyodor. My My.

fyo, re: "While Dresden is listed as having a max capacity of 5000wpw..."
I believe Dresden's capacity has been bounced around on the thread lately (here and on the Intel) and I might have missed something. But, when Dresden started up its capacity was noted as "eventually 5000wpw" but the manufacturing page mysteriously notes 6000wpw (and I cannot recall if it ever said otherwise).

Opening PR (5000wpw): amd.com.
Manu. Site Summary (6000wpw): amd.com
Dresden Site Page (5000wpw): amd.com

Has AMD noted any specific capacity in recent CC or other events? I don't recall any specific % on Dresden's ramp this year the last couple of quarters and it would be nice to see AMD achieve its goal of "full capacity" - though some of this capacity would be non-manufacturing (ie. testing, process development, maintenance, etc).

-PT

EDIT: Looked up the CC notes @ JCs
1Q01: Dresden at 60% wafer starts, 100% by year-end
2Q01: Dresden ramp continues, 100% by year-end
3Q01: Dresden ramp continues, 100% by year-end
