I couldn't resist plastering one more message here. (I know there are investors lurking silently out there on this thread, I can feel it...really.) Check out this analyst's comments today: "John Duffy, an analyst for Fahnestock & Co, said the company did not ramp up manufacturing fast enough for its high-end new product, while sales of the previous key product dropped off more quickly than expected."

While some line canabalization was to be expected with the introduction of the new high-end 8000 modeler, I am sensing the impact of canabalization was much higher with the 8000 than with the Genisys printer. The 8000 modeler was introduced in March and surely there was enough lead time to manufacture sufficient inventory. (I didn't see any specific mention of a problem like parts shortage from suppliers which can often occur around new product lines.)

Perhaps customers are saying, 'Why pay $140K for an FDM 2000 when we can get an FDM 8000 for a little more.'

Hey! Remember, these are my speculative comments so look at them as ideas to get ya thinking and not as facts.
