What is your beef with the decision....?

As background. At the time the decision was made, I didn't especially have a preferred outcome. I was more interested in the legal process and the logic, than I was the final decision.

The beef: The short version. There was no uniform handling of voting within the counties of Florida to begin with. Each county had it's own system [equipment] of counting ballots. To claim that handling a few counties by manual recounts was somehow unfair, or denied some fictious due process, was specious. Further, the point made by the USSC at the time of the decision, could have been made earlier by the same Court when it vacated an earlier decision of Florida Supreme Court. [The specific case escapes me at the moment, but there was only one case that was vacated].
