Sitting in an airliner seat these days is a painful experience on short "Puddle Jumper" flights...let alone a flight from the Islands with another 7 hours parked. I can't figure why Northwest didn't just let them off the plane or later settle the issue on the side. Now days the last thing I'd want is to be...is stuck on a plane for no reason.

Northwest could have sent them via the Metro or bus from Ontario since Ontario is not that far from LAX.

I say a slap on the hand is in order, however a fine makes more sense than a lawsuit. I wonder if the airline even asked the passengers how many of them wanted to depart the aircraft. <G>
