Claud: It (the VIX) could still go lower, as you know. It was slightly lower in June & July, and in the 18-19 area in Aug. of 2000. The VXN could go lower, too. Whether things can get that optimistic remains to be seen.

It'll be interesting getting stopped out of shorts again, no doubt.

But as you can see, the volume adds yet another questionable element to the rally.

The CI's ended the day overbought, of course:

MT S&P CI: 98.008
LT S&P CI: 99.039

Note how the Dow closed slightly above the 200 SMA today. Also, look how the COMPX is at the middle B band. If it broke above it, it might head to the upper band, at around 2050.
