Derald,

Moving to cash looks like at good idea also. In my account when I move to cash it sits in a money market and I do get some return on the cash.

I started to nibble at bonds today. We will have to see where it goes, but if the interest rate goes up, I don't know how far but for sure at 7.25% or close will buy some more, if they go to 7.5% will buy lots. I am going to watch Louis Rukeyser on Friday to see if this strategy is still intact. Also my broker at Merrill Lynch says they are still recommending a buying bond strategy. They have been recommending this for a month or so. I also moved some of my mutual fund assets to a Utility Fund a cupple of weeks ago. By the way my broker felt strips is the best strategy for buying bonds that we don't plan on holding for the long term, he believes we will get better asset growth on this instrument if the bond interest rate goes down, which is the case with my strategy.

I own Motorola, so yesterday was not at good day, but in the long run I am not to concerned. I think your broker is right with buying right now. One never knows if there will be some more sell off. BTW Merrill Lynch has a buy on motorola both short and long term. I have to look hard for stocks that Merrill Lynch has short term buy recommendations. They are relatively conserative on short term buys recommendations.

Time will tell.

Joan
