Ken, That is a good story you posted. I believe it can be extended to the communications sector as a whole....going forward.

That is a strong case for buying stocks of the big names in the sector (although I want to avoid Lucent).
It may be just too risky for the carriers to take a chance with some smaller names in this type of business environment.
Cisco and Nortel are going to be the preferred suppliers within the telecommunication/data networking industry.
They can share a small pie right now but should be able to make a lot of money if carrier spending increases.
That is why I think both are good buys right now.

(we do keep reading about how internet traffic keeps increasing---to me this is the key)
