Limtex, those weren't "wires" but rather "blasting cords". If the man in question managed to ignite one with a match, that airplane would have lost pressure within microseconds and -- soon after -- the FAA would have been tracking the pieces.

It is hard to imagine but 5 ounces of C4 (or Semtex) can blow a small building apart. Airplanes are easier to destroy. And yes, you can fit 5 ounces into a pair of Nikes. It is "plastic" (or better said .. "elastic"), so terrorists can mold the stuff into toys or whatever.

I read my first copy of "Modern Pyrotechnics" when I was 12 (at the local library) ... 30+ years ago. I have learned a lot since. Please trust me when I say that anyone with enough will power and enough money can destroy anything they want to. I know so much that every "July 4th", I stay at home, watch the skies, and hope that everyone else is safe. I know what I know because ignorance is not bliss. Perhaps, I may be able to serve my country over time.

Happy holidays to all! And be sure to chose driving over flying whenever you can.

Craig
