You can not shame other people. You can, however, expose an act that you believe is shameful. The shame itself is a feeling lying in the heart of the shameful person... if they have a conscience about it.

Regardless of how I view the current plight of various groups of people on the planet and how I view my responsibility to care for the poor, needy and desolate; I see no reason to feel shame for acts that I have not personally contributed to.
