What is human "race" thing?? My point was about the racial remark he made. He has a habit of doing it, in fun, but it backfires on him. I was more impressed with other things in the Grapes of Wrath, The point was what the Russian audience saw in it. We, in this country, see the Joad family as poor, they saw them as rich. Most of the world consists of nations of huts, with an occasional Palace. The USA is a nation of Palaces, with an occasional hut.
