It would seem to me that tumblin' or [sic]"money" laundering these chip laden new Euro fiat would at least scramble some of their RFID antennae/chip connection that seems--at least to me-- to be the weakest junction in this new anti-counterfeiting device du jour "Manufacturing processes are also considered a major hurdle to embedding a low-cost antenna and chip onto bank notes. "The chip is already so small," MIT's Ashton said. "To connect the two ends of a coil - an antenna - at precisely the right place on a chip could present a major problem."

Furthermore, if they-RFID-- can be detected, they can be harvested/retreived, scrambled and implanted in new funny money at NO cost to the engraver/printing/knock-off team. All one would need to do would be to buy some of the "shredded currency" bags that are currently bandied about in the free world as curios and harvest the RFIDs.

Regardless of the plan to foil counterfeiting, there will be at least 1 dozen counter-solutions thought up by those intent upon counterfeiting Euros or any other fiat or physical in the first place.

Then again,
perhaps we will all get in the habit of screaming out at our money before we spend it and raise such a hullabaloo in the tracking stations that even Moscow (where most of our funny money seems to end up) would have to step away from the monitoring consoles for a vodka break?
