problem is, the new NEM will develop a poison pill to prevent such an occurrence which would make such a take over attempt unfesable. The cash flow which FN provides will help the new company to withstand just about anything, including many months of potentially lower gold prices. The new NEM management team is very focused and is putting on a plate of armor that may very well send ABX and AU running for the hills. This is the reason that the next few months are critical for the new NEM. If the merger takes place they will truly be king of the pit, hill whatever........without a doubt, ABX and AU will do everything in their power to stop this merger. If they fail, they will likely merge themselves. It is as you know, a battle of visions, hedged vs unhedged, money vs commodity.
