Liberal government in Washington State but no state income tax - one of the few with no state income tax. All statewide elected officials are Democrats except for Secretary of State. Both houses of the state legislature have Democrats in the majority. We have the highest unemployment rate in the country right now. I like all the west coast states because of their liberal politics. Many wealthy people like the liberal west coast, as well. One of the benefits is a great public University system.
