Hi All:

The equipment: an old Pentium I 200, with partitioned hard disk;
O/S: WIN 95;
What was I doing: trying to install a game the kids got for Christmas, I kept getting an "insufficient space" warning as it wouldn't let me tell it to install Directx onto the D: drive (where there actually was enough space);
Dumb thing I did: tried to delete as many programs as I could (using the install/uninstall utility).
Resulting problem: the display now only supports two options -- 16 colors and monochrome.
What I've tried: I've tried to reinstall the monitor as new hardware; I've tried copying new drivers from the WIN 95 distribution disk (VGA.drv); I've tried changing the monitor assignment (standard VGA, standard PCI VGA).

Seventeen reboots later, I still only have the two display settings, neither of which works with anything more advanced than wp apps. Advice would be greatly appreciated -- my 3 year old got Tonka Dig'n Rigs for Christmas, and to say he's desprate to play would be an understatement!

TIA, all.
