Help! I cant figure out what to buy in a video board.

After spending several hours on the web today I have narrowed it down to ...
1. The Videologic Apocalypse 5D (featuring the Tseng ET6100 for 2d paired with NEC's PowerVR PCX2).
2. a Voodoo Rush board like the Hercules Stingray 128/3D or the Intergraph Intense 3D 100--I'm pretty sure these are both voodo rush, and are paired with Alliance Semiconductor's Promotion AT3D (confusing isn't it, the AT3D is the 2D portion?)
3. The ATI XPERT@Play, using their own 3D rage Pro chipset).

I THOUGHT that SIII was supposed to be the leader in video chips, and yet I can find no references on the web to what SIII may have in store to compete. I currently have a basic 2D PCI card, with a S3 trio chipset with the "scenic highway" interface, like that is doing anything for me!

Surely there will be some opinions on this from the people who hold SIII stock. Thanks!
