Bubba.. Please go back to my posts in may of 1998, when on 11th of May the present leadership of India opened the pandora box of nuclear weapons in SA, I wrote this is a disaster.. we will have to control it otherwise we shall see things out of hand.. overnight India changed its conventional superiority to 'parity of nuclear tech'. Nations pay a price for miscalculation, it was a horrendous mistake to introduce nuclear power in our region and buy parity in return. Now that nuclear equation has come to haunt them.. best of luck for them if they can handle it, nice, cool and safe.. We all will pay a price unfortunately..some little, others like us 'Pakistanis' huge.. but I have no doubt that Pakistan will use it first if attacked and use it big, their force nearly 50,000 of them are on Northern border and India's knows it, it is an opportunity as well as a reason to make a long friendship....if this continues.. in process, I also have no doubt that 'Pakistan will disappear' so will Musharraf pragmatism and we will end up with 140 m listless, aimless people in North of SA to be handled.....what a tragedy that at such a juncture when we are being ruled by a moderate, our friends across has lost all patience with terrorism.. Tearing an arm was one strategy as opposed to MAD in Nuclear doctrines of Cold war that helped Europe freedom from war of centuries, I think we will prevail..too, nuclear equation will avoid war , they will need to slow down the rhetoric and get to substance, to hell with Mullahs who played their strategy well to take India to point of no return, they have ALSO LIMITED CHOICES..and some people have no patience in dealing this issue with pragmatism and foresight that is required like 1998 decision to start the dance of bombs by ridiculing the neighbour they may well realise that it is hard game the 'game of chicken' they will veer course just wait...... that is the only route.. the way US handled Pakistan with care and diligence during recent crisis. I always hope for the best..and pray for a good outcome..
