re: as a customer or as an investor? Both. it seems that for the last 6 years that I was reading intel thread amd was going belly up. Yet it is still here and much better of than it was in the past. That is my point. As each day passes, it appears that AMD's miraculous resurrection might only be an aberration. and once more on diminished competition, last night I have run very short simulation on dell professional workstation (1GHz pIII with 1024 rambus) which took ~2.5 hours. It took less than 40 minutes to run the same simulation on entry level 1.4GHz Athlon system with 512ddr Inconclusive data. The platforms aren't comparable. AND you're switching the subject again. Remember? We were talking about the FUTURE, not last night You're not going to get by with your bait and switch debate style with me!
