mm- Q shrinking portfolios for yet another year. Sad but true. This is not a dot.com company but in a way it is worse since it is seen as a serious patent holder. But faith has proved very very expensive. All we have been rewarded with for two years is a 50% haircut for two years in a row and worse still the stock looks very much like it wants to halve again. 20c eps per qtr x 4 = maybe 80c - $1 and no growth and a P/E of over 50???????? Not in this market. Founding engineer leaves and an accountant is promoted and speaks at the CC. This is a supposed to be a high tech company and of course accountants are important but at conference calls? Delay heaped on delay by the SPs ...why? KDDI desperately needs something to fight DoCoMo, desperatley but there is today no sign of 1X being deployed in Japan. Only Korea manages to get this system going. In the whole world a year late and it is still only Korea. In the US we have got the Winter Olympics no less. Any chance of a deployment in one miserable little town????? No way...nada..... Every jounalist from every media output on the planet in one little spot and what.... nada. Why? How many upgrades were there in 2000? I can't remember, maybe you can but there were some. And how many in 2001 especially within the last few weeks and what have we got one decent day, yesterday, in the last three weeks. When did you understand that 1X was going to be deployed in the US . I thought PCS were supposed to do it in October. What happens......nada. And when is it promised to start now....March????? I do not believe it anymore. PCS must surely need this service to amke money. Why aren't they busting a gut to get it out and earn income? Why? forget about DO. I'll settle for 1X. DO is yet another dream. What we have to worry about is whether we are about to go down another 50% soon. It looks more and more likely as the delays pile up and Mr Thornley's less than inspiring comments last earnings. This is testing patience and belief to the utmost limits. Sorry for the rant it is frustration. Best, L
