Manugistics has a product line called EPO that does pricing across the supply chain. EPO= Enterprise profit optimization. I don't know if I2's new product, i252, has this functionality or not.

Manu last conference call (a week ago) might mean that this pricing area is a supply chain killer app. Its hard to tell, since they don't break down revenue... manu did 22mm last qtr, thats with a dry pipeline and one empty month (sept). So thats pretty good. I don't recall ever doing much with pricing in a traditional supply chain sense... it was mostly demand planning and inventory/stock-outs etc. But come to think of it, if you have your inventory all over the industry in these contract manufacturers, it must be impossible to price it, and know you will come out ahead.

The other thing interesting about EPO is its a different sale than the traditional supply chain acct. It sells to the marketing department as opposed to manufacturing/ops so manu has a chance to get in there where sap/i2 etc are installed.

So there's just some excitement out there on the acceptance of a somewhat new product line and its propelling the stocks of manu and itwo, I would hold.
