Hi goldsnow, I don't know if the word is fascinating. :) It's more like terrifying. If this continues, we may very well see World War 3, with the western democracies and India on one side and the Islamic/Arab countries and maybe China on the other. I'm hoping China will act as a moderating influence in the area, but it looks like they are tying their fortune to Pakistan. What I'm increasingly seeing is that the two words "Islam" and "extremism" are more and more getting tied together as one and the same thing.
I hope moderate Islamic people and Arabs all over the world realize that Osama and his devil worshippers have done more harm in 3 months to the name of Islam than the good people of that religion managed build in 1400 years. The other thing to realize is that they are starting a conflict which they can't win. It's like me walking up to the boxer Mike Tyson and stabbing him with a sewing pin and calling him every name in the book. Do you think I would survive that conflict? Probably not. Islam won't survive a conflict with the combined powers of the rest of the world against it. The last thing I hope they realize is that they are squandering their oil money. With the amount of money that is generated in that region from oil, the Middle East should be a paradise for its people. Instead, it is a hell hole that no civilized person wants to visit anymore for fear of their life. What a collossal waste. Instead of trying to integrate with the modern world, Islamic and Arab countries are increasingly turning to extremism and ostracizing themselves from the world community. When you have nutcases like that Iranian former President saying they want nothing less than the wholesale destruction of Israel, who do they think they are endearing themselves to?
They've lost the chance they had with the U.S. We have so many bleeding hearts here that will literally pour out their souls for any cause. If they had appealed to those of us in this country that could help them, they would have reaped a bounty. Look at what we do even for Afghanistan, which housed the uspeakably evil Osama. Both before and after 9/11, the US was and is the largest importer of aid to that country.
It seems the epitomy of stupidity to attack the US because of our friendship with Israel. For awhile there, our citizens were beginning to get really sick of Israel for their brutality in the region, because we didn't really understand what they were up against. But after 9/11, many of us started to do our homework and found out that they are struggling for their very existence, surrounded by fanatical enemies like that former President of Iran, who want to murder them all and "vomit Israel out of the region". Now US citizens are starting to identify with Israel more than the Islamic extremists. Way to go Osama. If you wanted to help, you sure f___ed it up. Now you have a superpower as your enemy and you're doing a good job at getting the superpower to hate all of the Arab countries that house your devilworshipping friends.
At the end of the day, Arabs need to realize that the time of the Caliphate is over. It was a great time and a truly glorious empire, but they went the way of the Romans. Try to live in peace now, or be obliterated. |
