Paula, I take a multivitamin, but now that I am thinking about it, the whole tablet only weighs about a gram, so it certainly can't have any more than a gram of C...probably much less. About twenty years ago I got out of the habit of taking a large dose of "C with rose hips". That is about the time my asthma started. Of course a massive allergy overload is probably what started the asthma, but it cant hurt to take up with extra C again. My doctor has never suggested anything novel, and a screening at an allergy asthma clinic had not much useful to say other than take shots of twenty allergans to which I'm moderately allergic, no thanks. My cat died a few years ago, that helped a lot. Ripping up our carpets and laying down a wood floor is probably the next thing to do. I'm going to pass on the African hook worm thing <g>
