Plastic would still be a lot easier for those of us overseas... And I've just noticed on Lane ShelterCare's website, which I hadn't checked before, this sentence: Donations may be made using Visa or MasterCard, call 541-686-1262. This doesn't tell us whether the equipment they have will get a charge to a donor's Visa statement by 12/31 (it's more likely a low-volume operation where they take slips to their processing bank, which clears them rather like checks, but this speculation could be wrong) or whether anyone will be in the office to answer the phone on Monday to take a donation, so it may not help anyone who wants a deduction on a U.S. Federal tax return. But Nigel, this may help you, especially since you probbly don't get a deduction from Her Majesty's Inland Revenue for contributions to Oregon charities. Cheers, RCM
