Who could this strategist with initials T.G. be? From Barron's... A sharp-eyed London hedge-fund manager, with a slightly sadistic bent, keeps track of the prognostications and recommendations made by the strategists at the start of each year. In a communique sent to our colleague, Randy Forsyth, who graciously passed it on to us, our correspondent exults that he has come across perhaps "the best ever." The particular strategist he's referring to called for the market to climb 20%-plus in 2001 and proclaimed this neat advance would be paced by "technology, telecom and financials."
