FWIW, got suckered into Mall of Hell-merica last night for dinner. I've NEVER seen so many people there before (and I've shopped there in years past just days before X-mas). The line into parking was out the off-ramp, almost onto the highway.

Lots of buying, many people carrying multiple bags. I was pretty surprised. Noticed a lot of the "discounting" going on was BS. Lots of sixty percent off of full retail, which still put items well above what they typically sell for. At Macy's. an eleven cup Cuisinart food processor going for sale price of 250, and I had seen it at KSS for 110 a few days ago.

I didn't wander into the "Purple Store" or "Ye Olde Magnet Shoppe" for fear of losing my mind. But I would expect crap merchandisers like those are practically giving stuff away.

Restaraunt was packed to the brim. I felt like getting on the Mall PA and saying "Attention shoppers, attention...TOMRORROW, WE MELT!" -g-
