Hi G,

My experience is in the most humid and hot market in the world.

Most of my customers get their Money back from A/C repairs. Extended warranty's by law must be priced nationally so we use ours more and don't get a surcharge. Also extended warranties will provide a rent car if the factory doesn't provide it - no one knows how much thet need until their wheels are out of commission. Also the factory deductible is often picked up by the extended warranty if you have a reducing deductible clause.

Example: If my customer buys a 100.00 deductible it can reduce to 50.00 if he brings the work to my shop.We have the benefit of a good reputation,so a lot of people do that.GM doesn't do that - they have a 00.00 deductible and it costs 250.00 to 300.00 more.My high end customers say "I want that one then everything stays fixed" others who view cars as a necessary evil will note problems that are small on a list and when something major occurrs get all the items repaired and pay the deductible just once. Do not buy an extended warranty that has a deductible per repair item.

Bob

You are very welcome - any questions just holler.
