Dan, "Intel paid good money to get CompUSA to remove AMD desktop products from its shelves, now CompUSA takes that money and uses it to advertise Athlon XP systems for direct ship."

Hats off to you, Dan, for your tireless efforts to make a mountain out of a molehill. Your diligence in snooping Comp USA website would put Steve Harris to shame, which is not too difficult though.

Since the ad you refer is found in Comp USA’s current advertising circular it is more than likely that Compaq paid for its inclusion. This basically is same ad you see in Best Buy flyers. I don’t believe either Comp USA or Best Buy stock any Athlon XP’s. Nada. Nor does Gateway, HP, IBM and of course Dell. Wonder why?
