darryl, OT *** Hyundai

Your mother is a smart woman. My reaction to 'Hyundai' was negative, too, based on the past record I had heard rumored. I'm very glad I dug a bit deeper. Consumer Report's positive report on the Elantra started me looking for other test reports. All were positive. Stick a Toyota or Honda name name plate on the Elantra and you could up the sticker price $5k - nobody would blink an eye.

After Bob Furman's post on extended warranty I am seriously considering buying one - for the first time ever. They want $600 for 10 years. I'm a B&H driver and give away cars after I'm through with them.
