Elmer, Well, you have given me some stuff to research on. Complex is the operant word.
It sounds like the testers can isolate and test segments of the CPU with regard to static and dynamic currents. This is the reolution you speak of? A base of experience will then allow them to mark the parts with some level of confidence and then they get packaged/scrapped as this test sequence warranted. Those that get into the final package will have another tester for the final assessment as to speed etc. Makes no sense to package scrap or marginal products.
