My New Year’s List:

1.Make the quarterly accounting more analyst and shareholder friendly. I understand some of your deals with large companies add a degree of haziness, but this degree can be defined so as to limit the attacks of the short-industry.
2.It appears that negotiating the FDA gauntlet is an acquired skill. If you intend to become one of the top ten pharma companies, hirer people who know how the administrative game is played.
3.The I.R. department needs to become more proactive. Much of this year’s loss of goodwill, was a result of the I.R. department failures. The continuing soap-opera regarding the release of the new drugs should have been handled differently. It had the feeling of an Elvis sighting. If you don’t know the release date, DON'T guess. It is not the delay but the dashed expectations. If you see a potential problem or point of confusion, don’t wait until The Street or Maris writes about it.
4.Slow the pace of M&A. Your record is just so-so from the shareholders’ view.
5.Close the Frova deal.
6.I would like to see some progress on the Myobloc front. Some sales momentum would be appreciated. Send the M.Ds. to Mexico for a week to learn the benefits of Myobloc. That’s one way to buy their loyalty.
7.Who chose the green on you Web Page? Of all the beautiful variations of green and this was the one?
8.Tell me why Maris hates you. Seriously, somebody knows something about this situation. Find a friendly American financial paper and leak the story. You owe it to the 11 who put their butts on the line for you.
9.Continue to Web-cast the quarterly analyst meetings.
10.I would like to see some price appreciation this year.
