the feds got too much pressure due to the previous requirement that the screeners have high school diplomas. Gee. What an unreasonable requirement. I know I feel so much better that these screeners, ostensibly there for my ultimate protection, didn't even have sufficient brains and/or drive to complete their basic education. None of these people are of the past generations where it was not so unusual to drop out before high school, but I daresay these folks are too young to have those excuses. The whole thing is ridiculous, IMO. This is not some TVA program under the FDR administration. The PURPOSE was increased security, not to provide jobs for the hard core unemployable. sorry for the rant, but stuff like this makes me crazy.... M
